Raleigh Bowman grew up in an average working-class family. But as the years went on, Raleigh witnessed first-hand the injustices that exist within our society and found that our society, as it is, does not offer protection to or fight for individuals suffering from mental health issues, the uninsured, those with disabilities, or battling addiction.
During his childhood, Raleigh watched helplessly as his mother struggled with her mental health, which led to her resorting to unhealthy coping mechanisms due to a lack of access to mental health services and sufficient health care. In addition, his father, who was the sole provider for his family, suffered an injury and, as a result, became disabled and lost everything including the stability for this family and healthcare. Because of those personal experiences, Raleigh knows what so many of us struggle with every day.

Raleigh worked most of his life fighting for others while watching his father struggle with health-related issues. Unfortunately, Raleigh's father passed away due to heart-related issues back in 2019. This is why it's so important to him, and he's passionate about helping others and ensuring that everyone has high-quality health care and that it's recognized as a human right. Raleigh knows firsthand the needs and issues facing our nation.
Raleigh has worked in the private sector for most of his entire adult life. Experiences ranging from training and development, Human Resources, company policy reforms to managing multiple departments for various major corporations. Raleigh continuously championed and fought for employees throughout his professional career for wage increases, training and development, holding corporations accountable, and workers' right to unionization. Raleigh made a career change, leaving the corporate workforce several years ago to begin work in the aviation industry. Raleigh has since met thousands of people across the country, all from different backgrounds, each experiencing their own unique struggles in life. Raleigh has taken the time to understand and identify the needs of people from all walks of life and knows we need a fighter, someone to take on the status quo and change our broken systems.

Raleigh knows how broken our system is as he experienced those failures firsthand. He is a champion and avid supporter of equality, healthcare, justice reform, BLM, and the fight for a living wage. He has worked to increase wages, marched against injustice, and fought for equality and reforms. He knows what it will take to represent the people because he's lived it. Raleigh is 100% unbossed and unbought because he knows it's time that elected officials worked for their constituents, not corporations or special interests.
